My Strengths And Weaknesses Of An Interview - 931 Words

Interviews are the first impression a potential employer or college department will have of a person. First impressions are lasting impressions. Using that time to highlight your skills and attributes are great tools to increase your chances of being selected to fulfill the position you applied for. Developing a persona that entice the person conducting the interview will create more opportunities to sell yourself. While being interviewed for this assignment, I was able to grasp some great tips that will transcend throughout my professional life. From this experience evaluating my strengths and weaknesses I will be better equipped to transition into my senior year of college, graduate school, and the field of social work. Going into the interview I was very nervous. I was anxiously waiting to step foot in front of potential mentors and faculty members. Trying to remember key points I wanted to address in my answers before the interview started caused me to blank out during the interview. While other times I was able to shine because I was able to allow my mind to flow. Letting my emotions and thoughts flow together to answer the questions as fluent as possible. Strengths in interviewing are based around how well one can answer questions, but still captivate the interviewer s interest. One of my strengths was my passion. Answering questions that dealt with my passion allowed my personality to shine through.
